Governance Policy

Editorial Committee

The Editorial Committee is composed of researchers – including professors, graduate and undergraduate scholars – affiliated with diverse national and international teaching and research institutions in Brazil, Canada, Portugal, India, France, and the United States. Members bring expertise in artificial intelligence, scientific integrity, sustainability, law, and business management, ensuring an interdisciplinary foundation for the journal.

Committee members serve in a representative capacity within the global scientific community. While the Committee does not operate as a collective body with mandatory periodic meetings, it may be convened by the Editors-in-Chief to discuss strategic or operational matters.

The primary role of the Committee is to provide advice on the continuous improvement of editorial policies, recommend qualified reviewers, promote the journal within academic and professional networks, and advise on ethical concerns when necessary. Members also contribute to discussions on innovation strategies and the long-term positioning of the journal.

The Editorial Committee does not interfere with independent editorial decision-making, which remains the sole responsibility of the Editors-in-Chief.

Scientific Committee

The Scientific Committee is responsible for safeguarding the journal’s academic quality, rigor, and ethical standards, thereby ensuring the credibility of its publications. Its members come from institutions in Latin America, North America, Europe, and Asia, bringing multidisciplinary expertise in governance, integrity, sustainability, law, and technology.

Members support the journal in achieving compliance with international indexing requirements and may also contribute to building institutional and financial partnerships that sustain the journal’s operations. They act both individually and collectively to reflect on editorial policies, procedures, and the overall development of the journal, and may suggest themes for special issues or thematic dossiers.

The Scientific Committee does not intervene in the evaluation of individual manuscripts but may be consulted by the Editors-in-Chief regarding broader strategic, scientific, or ethical matters.

Editors-in-Chief

The Editors-in-Chief are responsible for the overall scientific and technical direction of the journal. They represent institutions from Brazil, Canada, Portugal, India, France, and the United States, reflecting the journal’s international reach. Collectively, they bring recognized expertise in artificial intelligence, scientific integrity, sustainability, law, and business management.

Their responsibilities include:

  1. Conducting the initial assessment of manuscripts (desk review).

  2. Ensuring compliance with submission guidelines.

  3. Assigning manuscripts to peer reviewers.

  4. Overseeing the peer review and revision process.

  5. Making final publication decisions based on reviewers’ recommendations.

The Editors-in-Chief coordinate the activities of both the Editorial and Scientific Committees and ensure that all editorial practices are consistent with international standards of research integrity and ethical publishing (COPE, DOAJ, Scopus).
